I was not sure where to post this one but here is my question. I want to hibernate spotted turtles in my basement in a fridge. I expect to keep them at about 40F and open the door a few times a week to check on them. I cannot just leave them in the basement as it is at about 60F so they would not hibernate. WIll the fridge let in enough air for them to survive? I have kept worms in the fridge and they do not die so I suspect turtles would be fine. Has anyone ever done this with herps?
