Is it possible?

bigguykev36 Sep 09, 2003 04:14 AM

Is it possible for a leo that looks this tangerine... to turn normal? Because my male turns a dark tanish color, and just looks really dark, Healthy, but dark. I'm a worry wart about my geckos, and if he's still funky and I'm still even worried about it tomorrow, I'll take and post some more pics.

May tang is doing that also. I was told not to worry about it becasue they seem to get really dark during breeding season. And if there is a male in the room with a female the fermones (sorry for the spelling) are floatig around and cause them to do this even if they usually dont see eachother. Ever since my female became pregnant she has been dark unless I am sitting with her in my house by the window then she gets real bright.

If by turn normal you meant will the spots come back? Not likely but it could happen. I have a friend that bought a super hypo baldy that is no longer super hypo! That is one reason I do not promote selling hatchlings or even sub adults as hypo this or that. You just never know what they will do as adults.

If you meant will the tangerine fade or go away that is a possibility. I have seen tangerines that have lost their color. See my comments above about this.
