Large Tubs

tortlemon Dec 22, 2008 09:28 AM

Just found these huge plastic tubs at the dept. store.
The inside measurement at the bottom(they are tapered from the top) is 16" by 48"
I'll build a rack to hold four or five. They should be big enough for my pine snakes.
Compare to the large sterilite tub(16"X34"

Those are Iris VE-175 Xmas tree tubs.

You can get them at bigger Walmarts for $19.98 after the holidays. You can also get them via reptile tubs .com throughout the year.

AP plastics also makes a rack for them.

Just some additional info.

Unfortunately, all the stores set their own prices on these. I've heard of areas where they're as much as $35 each. Here they're $29.99. I did pick up two of them, though! I'm building the stand I'm working on for my boaphiles to hold two of them underneath.

My store only had a few, so I didn't want to miss out on them. But, I saved my receipts, and if there are any left after the holidays, I'll pick up two more, and return them with the first receipt so that I get the better price. Might not exactly be fair, but. . . it's walmart.

I've seen those around and thought about stocking up on some. They seem like they would be good emergency enclosures for my tortoises.

I saw those same tubs at walmart the other day and thought the same thing ... I have some blue beauty rats that are reaching 6' and those tubs would be great ..
