UVB Light 5.0 or 10.0?

snakeguy69 Dec 24, 2008 12:04 AM

I am acquiring a baby sav VERY soon and was curious which light I should use. I have a 5.0 right now and I know some people that don't use UVB (their savs are prospering) and so wouldn't a 5.0 still be good?

Thanks,
SG69

Save your money and buy and buy yourself a shirt or something.

I dont use them, waste of money. If you want the same results for even temps with an extra light, add a blacklight, or aome other flourescent bulb, or for that matter add another smaller basking spot on the other end of the cage with a 25 watt bulb over it.

5.0 or 10,0 means absolutely nothing. What is important is usable temps. Invest in a temp gun, then provide the right usable temps with any old litebulb, UV or otherwise. Cheers
