Dirty Heads!!!

bigbearhook Dec 24, 2008 04:21 PM

I know there's some controversy over this but here goes anyway. In the Mojave X Mojave Blue Eyed Leucistic(and yes I refer to them as BELs because they do produce BELs with other morphs so it is OBVIOUS they carry the BEL gene. It's just a little dirty in the super Mojave form) ANYWAY!!! My question is for anyone who has actually raised one.

Does the "dirty" head darken or lighten with age???

Some morphs darken with age, some lighten. What is the case with the Mojave Blue Eyed Leucistic?

Granted I have only had mine for about 6 months now, I have seen the color on her head get more pronounced. I can't necessarily say that it got darker, but it is definitely more noticeable.

Hope that helps,

I would say it does get more noticable as the snake grows. They start out almost pink when born with a faint silver tone and as they get older and do their first shed their heads get a darker gray-blue silver color...lol... I love Dirty Snakes The Ivory and the Mojave x Mojave blue eyeds are my favorite, All white snakes are borning ...lol , jk i love them too but I prefer dirty.
