I catch snakes like this every year it wasent until this year I discoverd kingsnake.

That thing is awesome! I'd love to see a red plains garter like that one with a super orange stripe on it like the one on Jeff Cochran's male. Where are the red plains found?

Those are some great pics of red. I plan on breeding her to a Nebraska albino, picture red in with this albino strain, think that may look really nice. Hopefully the red doesn't wash out or turn orange as it has in the Iowa albinos.

Albino Garter Snake

I can't wait too see the babies. Hopefully they keep there red. Next summer I will be on the look out for more high reds. Hows the littler red doing?

They are all hibernating and doing well.

Hey Dan,

The CA'a are all doing well, one of the melanogasters is getting large, as is one of the cuizaeonsis's. They take to mice as well as the north american garters do.

That should be a great combo Scott, they should naturally be compatible since they are from the same state or general area. Would be cool if it end up with lots of crimson red and/or high lavender at the very least.
