WESTERN TELEGRAPH (Haverfordwest, UK) 15 December 08 Bethany House fire "not suspicious" say police
A fallen reptile tank heater caused a massive caravan blaze early on Friday morning, completely destroying a static caravan and damaging the outside of a nearby residential property.
Two fire appliances from Haverfordwest were called to the fire at Bethany House, Old Hakin Road, Haverfordwest at 6.24 on Friday morning.
They extinguished the blaze and cooled a nearby Calor gas tank, remaining at the scene for over two and a half hours.
Police also attended the blaze at the property, which is also the clubhouse of the west Wales chapter of the Hell's Angels and was the subject of a recent gun raid.
They said that the fire was not being treated as suspicious and that it had been caused by a heater inside a reptile tank that had fallen over.
