Silver streak combination help

king_crazy Dec 26, 2008 09:28 AM

What makes it? I've heard several different people say several different things - SURPRISE....

Can you pair black pewter with cinnamon?
Regular pastel pewter with cinnamon?

I saw Ian G produced some black pastel line silver streaks and they're awesome - what else is that black pastel good with? I've heard some breeders get a lot of deformities when crossing blacks pastels in. Your thoughts?

Also, what's punnett square chance you'll get a silver streak?

Thanks for clearing this up - going to gather up the ingredients for this project this year.

A silver streak is a super pastel black pastel.

So at minimum you need a pastel x black pewter to get the silver streak. The odds of getting a sivler streak from this pairing are 1 in 8.

If you use a super pastel x black pewter the odds become 1 in 4 for silver streak.

A pewter x cinnamon can get a you super cinnamon pastel = silver bullet. Odds for this are 1 in 8 as well.

Not sure of deformaties from crossing black pastels into other morphs.

I don't see how pewter X cinnamon gets you to a silver streak as you only have one pastel gene in that crossing?

Super cinny pastel is what he said you would get from pewter to cinny. The combos with these are too confusing.
