where do you get...

where do yall get your scales? i looked at food scales but i didnt know if they went up high enough...

2.1 'normal' ball pythons (zenith, butters, zahara)and i want more snakes. guess you can say im developing a "reptile addiction"- lol

I got mine from a housewares store....just read the boxes and make sure they go up to several pounds. I found a reasonably priced scale for up to 11 pounds that reads to the .01 grams. It's digital, light up screen and has a broad enough surface that I can put a big bowl on it to hold the snake.

I work at a jewelry store and we had a catalog. GemPro scale that goes to 5lbs and weighs in 1 gram increments for 25% and it's stainless.

i found a couple at walmart- one went to 7lbs but i didnt know if that was high enough...another went to 5lbs...

Oh yeah that's enough. Just make sure it does grams because, I hate converting from lbs to grams and usually it's not as accurate. Oh and 454 grams in one pound so you should be good with that one.

Folks like LLLReptile.com sell excellent scales at an excellent price. Support those that support you, spend your money with other reptile hobbyists. Mini Mart Jones and Super Discount Corp don't care about your hobby, businesses on kingsnake.com do : )
