We keep our adult burms in cages that measure 12' x 4' x 4' with thermostatically controlled Pro Product radiant heat panels, full spectrum fluorescent lighting,e tc...much bigger than what most hobbyists provide but I personally think that they should be kept in something this large in order to provide proper thermal gradients, exercise, ease of maintenance, etc. There are no "standards" but many folks keep adult burms in 6' x 3' cages - that's a little small in my book but as long as they come out periodically that is usually sufficient.

>>I have several burms amongst others. I have an ideal size enclosure for my 14' burm which is my largest. (8'x3.5'x2'). In smaller set ups it is easy to find a retreat and a water source. Can anyone offer any ideas of how to meet the standards of these necessities? feedback is greatly appreciated.
