This is the first time I have had babies on Christmas day! What an awesome mom, she is a Pink Panther Caramel Albino that was born here.

Thanks everyone, I'll post some more pics as soon as they shed. That was a cool thing being on Christmas! It tied my longest ovulation to birth wait, 131 days!!

That is fantastic! And very interesting. That is a very unusual time to have baby Boas. As far as your breeding season goes, is this a very late litter, a very early litter, or do you not really subscribe to a "breeding season" methodology?

Perhaps a breeding that occurred after a little check up with the ultra sound?

I'd love to know so I could file this away in the back of my head and think about it. Very very interesting.

Say Tracy, how do you get such great photos anyhow? Do you know somebody that is really good at getting those pictures?

Congrats and great stuff!

I call these the first babies of 2009-the earliest ever, though I had some January 2 last year. Windows for babies here are October-January and May-August. Don't know why but for some reason it always is that way here! I would go along with the no methodology because I breed on project individual pairs vs breeding a whole group of animals. I never breed females two years in a row. Average age of breeding females is 4-10 years, same for males. You take great pics-I just point and shoot the camera does all the work-and the boas!
