Spider feeding problem

ryanbrown73003 Dec 27, 2008 04:59 PM

I picked up a 950 gr female spider in late October. Since I've had her I have been trying to switch her over to f/t rats without any luck so far (she hasn't eaten since I've had her witch has been a little over two months). Well I finally broke down and bought her a live rat. When I put the rat in her cage she repeatedly and aggresivly struck at it but would not rap it up. Then she would do this weird head movement. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Any imput would be great. Ty Ryan

She may be off feed due to the season -- contact the seller and find out what she was feeding on before hand and try that. Lots of times when you move a ball they will go off feed for a little bit as well.

The head thing is a spider wobble -- it's not a big deal and a lot of them only do it when they are stressed -- like having a rat in her cage.
