hello! i had a question on poop, yesterday i fed one of my tangerines a pinkie, (well actually she ate 2 pinkies) would that give her the runs? yesterday i saw a really really really runny poop!! and i was wondering is it normal for leos to occasionally get the runs after eating pinks? or can they get the runs and still be fine? she looks healthy!! so i just wanted to know if it is normal if leos get the runs once in a while, thanx!!

If she is healthy looking I don't think you have anything to worry about. Pinkies have a high fat and moisture content so that could have caused the runny stool. Occasionally I see watery stools when my leopards eat big meals or go from eating mealies to crickets. Leopard geckos and many other reptiles produce uric acid crystals in their stools. This is usually the moisture content of the poop(yellow or white looking stuff). Now uric acid removal is a good thing. Usually herps retain most of their water and only remove this uric acid. Herps that are well hydrated and not in need of more water will sometimes expel more moisture! Hope this helps you. I am sure she is fine. Although just be careful on the amount of pinks you offer. They can cause pin worms. Of course most if not all leopards have pin worms.
