Morphs...colors and patterns????

pitoon Dec 29, 2008 04:26 AM

Ok here's the situation.............
I've been into ball pythons for some time now, and have been thinking on getting into Leo's. However i can't seem to understand the morphs that are out there? The colors and the patterns is what gets me.

I've been doing as much research as i can before i break down and pick one up. But i'm so lost on the names and genetic break downs.

What i'm looking for is an all white Leo with snake eyes, is this even possible? Looking to get possible 1.2 and plan to place them into an enclosure that is 100cm long x 15cm tall x 30cm wide.

Would some one be kind enough to put me in the right direction.

Thanks for who ever can help!

Solid white Leo with snake eyes has been done. It's called a Diablo Blanca. It's a combo morph of RAPTOR/Eclips, Blizzard, & Tremper Albino.
The snake eyes can vary from a small percentage to solid eyes. The eyes can also be different on the same animal. Exsample, a gecko can have one solid eye & one eye that's 50% snake eye. The snake eye gene works kind of the same way the Pied gene works in balls. Snake eyed animals can make solid eye animals(& vise versa) as High white Pieds can make low white Pieds(& vise versa).
Good luck.
