I think that sounds great. My only concern is that the heating pad might get too hot. I know that I have one and if I'm not careful, I get burned by it. So maybe putting the heating pad under a towel and the critter carrier on the towel? We don't want the little guy getting burned on his belly!

Congrats on the new gecko!

I got him hes a little guy that will be breeding to my big lavender female soon he is a male that is a albino lecuistic patternless leopard. I'll put some pics on. by the way do you think he'll eat in the next couple of days because he's getting use to his surroundings right now he's pretty cute, he would eat medium sized crickets I think but ya Im going to breed him in a couple of months.

There's no such thing as a luecistic leopard gecko yet.

There's the Murphy's Paternless (originally called "leucistic" and the blizzard............both are forms of patternless

Simple common name of your morph is "Patternless Albino"

Breeding it to your high-yellow lavender will produce all normal offspring 100% het(erozygous) for paternless and albino.

Unfortunatly, I've seen some dealers label Blizzards as Leucistic as well. If can't make things any more confusing. So it could also be a Blazing Blizzard.

That guy is a Murphy Patternless Tremper Albino. When you get the pics up of your little guy besure to include a closeup of one of his eyes so we can tell if he's albino or not. I've had some really nice patternless over the years that looked as nice as an Albino Patternless but were not.

I woundn't bother trying to feed him. In general, when I get a new gecko I like to wait 3 to 4 days befor offering them food. I've also found that Leos I aquire in the winter take a little more time befor they start to eat on a consistent basis.I got one last February that took 2 months befor she ate aggressively. So don't be to surprised if the he takes his time.

I love that pattern on his sides
