Breeding Westerns: When to introduce

kaydee Dec 30, 2008 06:06 PM

Hey all,

I have a 3 year old pair, both have been burmated and came out 5-6 weeks ago, males been eating as normal and the female has been on a heavy feeding routine. She still hasn't had her post burmation shed. Should I wait longer or just put them together? The guides I read said to wait on the shed, but I don't want to miss the window!

Thanks!

Kieran

Post shed is excellent time although I have had several breed and lay fertile clutches w/o a shed. I'd try everything to ensure a good breeding.

hope that helps.
