You might want to get them off that sand.You will have an impactation soon.It will lead to death or a huge Vet bill,as they will have to be cut open and have their intestantes taken out and the sand removed.At least this is what happened in a case I know of.It was over $2000.As these come from many habatats maybe someone can chime in for advise on substrate.You can see the sand sticking to the shell in the pics, that might be what happens inside.Their a tuff spicies to bring around to begin with so the very best of luck. I like many keepers learned the hard way. Vic
