My morning routine is so boring now with the boxies being down for the winter. No getting up early and moving them to the big pen or mixing up some food. Nope. Just thinking about how to do things bigger and better in the spring. In a few weeks, after I get everything straight in my head and can buy supplies, I'm planning to spruce up the big pen. I'm going to prepare some spots for planting some more ferns and such and make some concrete wading pools.

I am also planing on expanding my turtle pen. I would like to double the area of my worm bed. The worms I keep are not the usual garden worms but are a type of worm that stays on top of the ground under leaves. Once I got the worm bed stated I don’t have to feed the turtles as often as they spend a lot of there time catching there own food. I would also like to build a larger wading pond. I also use this for a place for the turtles to find food. In the summer I will go down to the river and catch minnows. I put them into the pond. The turtles can’t catch them when they are living but a few die everyday and the turtles will eat these.
