I own 3 leopards about 10 inches big, and I also just purchased 2 adult breeding pair. What would be your opinion about indoor and outdoor housing? I plan to breed them. I live in new york and have a decent peice of property.

What part of New York? I live outside of Rochester and have a quartet of Russians and a large male red-foot (hope at the very least to eventually get him a couple of girl friends and either a leopard or sulcata). I have found that using either cattle troughs or stock tanks situated in the basement work great and the rubbermaid and similar plastic troughs seem to hold in the heat really well in the winter (though you will not be able to keep the top open in the winter. Also, you shouldn't set them direction on the basement floor. Raise them up at least a few inches. I have also considered building FRP lined top open enclosures for the basement (with no side windows) insulated with rigid foam insulation, but I have not actually needed to so. I find that putting some plexi glass and plywood over the top of the trough holds enough heat in and I can get great temps with a single 50-85 watt halogen flood bulb in each enclosure.
As for outdoor housing, I only put my tortoises out in their enclosures when I am able to supervise them. Usually I am able to have them outside by May and I can bring them out into October. If you're looking to house them outdoors all summer you will probably have a smaller window with leopards. You may only be able to go from June to August.
Good luck!
