If gas prices stay down this summer, I'd like to herp someplace a day's drive or more from Amarillo (home). I'll probably be heading over to New Mexico for family stuff, and was wondering if there are any good herp spots there, particularly in the southeast part of the state (think cruces, alamogordo, rosewell). I've actually never been able to herp in that state, just cause every time I've gone there for the last decade it's been for funerals or family emergencies.
