Sometimes I think the kid with two pet snakes has something that those of us with 50 to 200 lost a long time ago.

They all look great and what variability that came out. WOW!.

The last one looks like a goini and the first is smoking hot red. I really like the spotted one to. Hard to say which is my fav.

Hypo Brooksi bred to Blaze Goini were the parents that made my double hets that produced the trio pictured.

This was a project that TonyD and I colaborated on to prove the Blaze goini was not created by using a hypo brooks. Before then everyone on here was saying that the "Blaze Phase" was not a seperate gene and taken from the hypo brooks.

As you can see from recent posts this past year about the Jellies and Anerys that history has a way of repeating itself.

From Nokturnel Tom to Opener of Worm Cans or something....... every time I post something it seems to bring on or remind us of debates past n present.
Since I got so angry the last time things got heated, bringing me back to "time out" here on the forums I just aint gonna argue anymore.
For us that are hopeful with this trio I wish the buckskin looking one was a male so I could breed him to a Hypo and a Blaze but its female, my guess is it very well could be a double homozygous. Baby Blazes are usually intensely colored and the other female is much closer to what we'd expect from a baby Hypo King.
Gonna be a long wait on this one but it's all for fun so I don't mind. Even if the project ends up producing something special some knucklehead will eventually get in on it and ruin its dollar value. I like this cross a lot, hopefully next season I will produce more and see other variants from my breeders.

Tom its my opinion too that het blaze are visual. Everything I breed blaze into produces screamer neonate! These hets are far superior to anything I ever produced before.

lol people will always debate, "argue" when they care for the hobby and want to improve things.

A forum with everyone kissing everyone's tush is a newbie , learn nothing type forum.

Tom, very nice snakes. I enjoyed that line up. Nice king, nice king, and then BAM--candy.

Female number two looks a lot like these “Southern Super Brooks” from the old Southern Reptiles website. These are going back many years now.

“This happened when I outcrossed Bill Love Brooks and Brian Barczyk to mine.”

I wonder if he meant Goini when he said, “mine”.

Here’s a link to the old site, or look it up on the wayback machine online.

actually a lot of breders hybridized or "crossed" spp lines back then. This was new to the hobby and herpers didn't care. Of course this was way back when normal WC snakes and normal forms were more avaliable and common. Heck we didn't even have a tricolored albino yet. These things were only pipe dreams and visions in our own monds.

Selective breeding enhancment in many areas has surpassed this and people are now wanting forms closer to what was found in the wild. But as you can see that from Toms one clucth there is a varience from one end of the spectrum to the other and each snake looks different. One looked like pure goini and another pure brooksi while the one you mentioned looks like both.
