I got my normal from this show. Lots of high-quality and very knowledgeable dealers, and some really great prices. Some questionable dealers too... But most of them are good. The winter shows are generally toned down since there's very little breeding going on, and it's so damn cold. I live in Wheaton so I'm lucky enough to be able to attend frequently.

If you live far away (Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan etc) and have wondered about taking a drive, I highly recommend doing so in the spring. Much better selection if you want something other than balls, kingsnakes and cornsnakes (which are at least half the show right now).

I live in the area and have been going to the show for many years (since it was Lee's in Streamwood). I haven't been there in about a year, but I was talking to somebody who drove up from Southern Illinois to go to the show on Saturday. His complaint, which has always been mine too is that they should make it a reptiles only show, and ditch the puppies, kittens, etc.

There is a lot of variety usually!
