My quest for a large alligator snapper

MikeST Sep 09, 2003 03:22 PM

Well, talked to the guys at Concordia today. They were super nice, just don't have anything available right now. What a cool group of guys.

Anyway, I'm still looking for a super big alligator snapper for this kids program we run.
Everyone keep me in mind and let me know if you think of anything. I have a company thats willing to donate the shipping if its reasonable.

Have you tried Randleas or Turtle sellers they might have extras. There is a 15 incher on the classifieds.I would also try Exotic Reptiles he has a 30 pounder last time I called.

Sorry 12 inch on the classifieds.

Thanks,
I'll do that today.
We have a 16" one, but we were really set-up to get a really big turtle. The one that was supposed to get here was almost 80 pounds.

John richards has sort of a large one, but he wants a lot of money. I don't blame him. He's in this to make a living too.
I've always got pretty good stuff from him. We just don't have that kind of money right now.

Mike,

Try black river turtle farm in Louisiana. They called me to ask if I knew anybody who'd want some large surplus males they have. I don't know the price but its probably $100-$200 each.
