Seaworld pics (23)

Jonathan Brady Jan 04, 2009 12:50 PM

Snapped over 300 pics Friday. Scary huh? These were some of the better pics. I apologize about the all bird pics as they were shot through either water spotted glass (penguins and puffins) or mesh wire.
I apologize about the dolphin pics too as those suckers are FAST! lol
And the fish and sharks are obviously through glass too. NOT easy to do.

I am fairly proud of the sea lion pics Several were shot from over 125' away.

These will be in chronological order coinciding with our day.

The sun was basically gone for these pics. I REALLY liked the effect on this one.

Hope you enjoyed them! jb

My '06 sharp albino female courtesy of Big Mike and my holdback Guyana female from Rose's litter in '07 (she's 17.5 months old).

Had her out for exercise on the tripod and she was just sitting still. As SOON as I grabbed my camera, she started taking off! So this was all that I got of her.

A little tighter crop on the same pic...

Thanks for looking!

First, I used to go to Sea World when I was a kid, and I took my now 15 year old when he was about five, so ten years is long enough, I loved going.

Second, if my pics looked like yours I would definitely be better off.

Big Mike.

This is the best pic I think I've taken on the black background to illustrate the contrast and color. Still not as nice as she is in person though.

Great pictures Jonathan....I see your really getting the hang of that camera....

Wow, you are a great photographer. If my best pictures looked as good as your worst or mediocre pics I would be very happy.

Most people seem to have trouble bringing out the true colors of their subjects (especially dealing with various lighting situations) but you seem to always have it spot on.

Do you have any formal training or is it all due to talent and patience?

Very nice pics! I'd love to go to a place like that. I've been to the Seattle aquarium, but I'm sure it dosnt even compair to going to Seaworld. Thanks for sharing those

Those are some nice pictures. I'm going to have to drag you to Greenville to take pictures of my collection for me. You definitely know what you’re doing.

Take care,

Kevin
