baby milk with big neck issue

talks2turtles Jan 05, 2009 01:48 PM

This snake was given to me by someone and I am not sure what to think about the neck. It looks like maybe a broken rib is protruding and making that huge bump in his neck. I am not sure, does anyone have any other thoughts? He seems to move around alright and it does not seem sore to the touch.

I agree, get an Xray. If it's a rib, it can be removed to aid in healing without much difficulty. If it's a foriegn object that's stuck (like a piece of substrate- bark, corn cob, ect) then it needs to be removed.
