Living in the North does make for some bad days for sure. The Southern heat can also be hard to handle Pete...Good luck!

Yeah but at least there is a lot of sun. That is the bad part. And when we get sun these days it reflects off the snow and burns part of our corneas I think.

Try the SF bay area in California.

Fall - Turns chilly (under low 70's, high 60's), can no longer wander around in tank tops, shorts and flip flops. Also have to rake all those beautiful leaves that change from green to autumn red and orange.

Winter - Even colder, (highs in the 50's brrrrr) and have to drive with the convertible top up several days each month as it's raining, but no snow. First rain of the season can be tricky, all the oil comes to the surface and makes roads slick. We also get a few days of frost and have to cover some of our delicate landscaping. If we want to see snow, we have to drive four hours to the mountains to see it. Only ice we have is in the freezer.

Spring - Have to service the boat to prepare for the loooong skiing season. Also have to dig out all the tank tops, shorts and flip flops.

Summer - Only a couple of drops of rain all summer long. We get a few summer days over a hundred but very little humidity. Getting all the beach sand out of your clothes and shoes can be tricky. Have to get up early in the morning to find the glassy water on the lake for barefooting.

That sounds a hell-of-uh lot nicer than my area! We get lake effect snow, rain, ice ect. ect. it SUCKS! I'd love to have your rotten climate problems, I'd be outside every day (even though I work out side already!) if that makes any sense...?

OH and ......Have fun Pete!!

I also live in the Northeast. Pocono Mountains of Pa. I really hate it. I dont hunt, dont fish, dont ski, hate the cold, the snow, and the ice! Im in the wrong friggin state for sure. However, I cant go no place. I have a son that is here that I cant go without seeing (he lives with his mom) he has to stay here for the Drs that he needs in this area. If it wasnt for him, I would be in South Carolina. They have the change of seasons, but its not drastic.

I agree. I moved from New York to South Carolina...best thing I ever did!

are you crazy, it gets hella cold in south carolina. I had to move to sw florida to get away from the cold. Went back to visit 2 x-mas's ago and it was 11 freaking degrees when we got out of the car. The bad thing is that it was 72 when we left sw florida so I was wearing a tee and shorts. now that was a rude awakening.

True but then it only rains maybe 5 days a year and I need those barametric drops to help get the boas in the mood.

it was that freak'n cold, you surely wouldn't be riding a lawn mower plowing snow, because more than likely the mower wouldn't start! Also temps in the -20's plus the negative wind chill factor you wouldn't survive long....unless you had super-natural powers? But then if you had super-natural powers you wouldn't be wasting them on plowing snow sooo.... what the heck! You'd be raising Boas....still!
just kidding with ya!!!

Come on down Pete, it'll be like old times. You got to learn how to breed more than just Boids down here though.lol...Seriously like I told you guys the other night come on down and get out of the cold for at least a while. I'll take you herping and we're only 10 miles from Key Largo. Hell it gets too cold even here for me in the winter [50 degrees is our coldest this year]. I'd much rather be tropical all the time......TC
