First time Breeding!!Sunburst X Sunburst

rkreptiles Jan 08, 2009 09:08 AM

This is the first time ever of this breeding. This is our Sunburst Male and 1 of our Sunbust females from the first year we produced them which was 2006. We produced Sunburst 2 years in a row. First was the 2005 season that produced 1.3(which these hatched in early 06) and the 06 season which we produced 1.2. Unfortunately the male from the 06 season did not make it. We bred the male pictured last season to his mother but he was a little small still to produce. He bred but she did not take. This season he has a great start. He has bred his mother numerous times and now is breeding his sister numerous times. Hopefully we will find out this season if there is a super form of the "cosmic" portion of the sunburst equation. The Sunburst is a Pastel X Cosmic cross. We are keeping our fingers crossed for this season to bring to fruition this awesome project. There are only 2 breeders working with this project including myself. The other breeder is Kevin from NERD. Hopefully his female will breed for him this season as well. The pictures do these guys no justice at all to show how super bright and vibrant they truly are. We also have the other sister to these 2 breeding with a Spider so who knwos what we will produce with them.

That's a very exciting project. I love brightly colored animals. Good luck with them!

So, what does a cosmic look like without the pastel influence. Don't believe that I have ever seen one.

Derek,

We have not released pics of the "cosmic" morph to the public as of yet. We are doing more breeding before we release pics. It is a very subtle morph and we don't want it being confused with anything else.
