To mikenna and the rest of the bandwagon jumpers . . .

Some of the "big name" breeders have said something about this whole situation, just look below (Markus Jayne and Anthony McCain). You seem ready to step up to bat for this guy, but do you know him well enough to vouch for him? How long have you been keeping and breeding ball pythons? Do you have any background in biology or genetics? Have you done any work to determine what constitues a morph or what gene markers are or even what hypererythrism is? (go to google.com and look it up and while you're at it look at some pics of animals that possess this particular genetic trait). I count myself as a nearly 20 year veteran in herpetoculture and I've seen a lot of bull$#!t in my day and I'm tired of dishonest people trying to make a quick buck off the first gullible or inexperienced person that's standing there with a fistful of money. You and everyone else that thinks that they know everything about morphs are the first ones to jump on the bandwagon but usually you guys are first in line to get fleeced. Like I tell everyone that wants to spend money on a new morph or on something that simply looks unusual . . . do your research and ask questions, there are con artists around every corner.

...I would say that Anthony was decidedly NOT stepping up to bat for the guy! SJM

I didn't say that Anthony was sticking up for this guy, look more closely at my post.

I think my biggest point here is that an argument looks a lot better if you don't stick your thumbs in your ears and wiggle your fingers at the guy. Neener neener neener does not show a strong background in herp genetics, herp breeding, or the industry as a whole. If you want to attack his claims then fine, I said I wasn't convinced either. I just thought the argument was beginning to sound very 12 yr oldish. For those that were presenting valid arguments my post wasn't pointed at you. For those almost calling his mama names, well...

And no, I don't have a lot of experience with ball pythons, but I do have experience with other herps and their genetics so I am familiar with the terms discussed.
