Appropriate Adult Hog Island weights...

I rescued this girl about a year and a hald ago. Some nit wit dumped her on the local rescue when he thought he had to get permits for them. She was in pretty sorry shape.

Since then, she's been to the vet a couple times. First to find out all whats wrong with her, path, hematology, etc. Got her some meds ad she's been doing pretty good, despite a relapse in her RI last year. She's gained 1000 grams, eats like a pig, poops and sheds just fine, but just to me looks a tad bit thin for all the food she eats. LOL

Anyway, so what do you guys think? Sorry for the crappy pics, I was cleaning her cage, and just grabbed these real quick like. She's 63 inches, and 2860 grams. Sound light? Or just about right for a mature female?

BTW, The nit wit who dumped her said she's an '02 F1 Sears Boa, but he lied about some other things, so who really knows.

Thanks for any opinions.

that Hog Isle looks pretty good. You've done very well with her. She looks nice and thick. I think she's a good thickness for her size. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! Seems to be the general consensus. I guess I'm just doing the worried dad stuff. I plan to breed her next season, but not if she ain't in top shape.

I'm so used to large Boas, these slim little CA Boas just throw me off. LOL

Thanks again!

Thanks! Took some work and patience, but it seems to have paid off. She's a total sweetheart so far. She put up with getting stuck with needles, heart jabs to draw blood, man handling her to get some of the stuck shed layers off, and without so much as a hiss coming from her.

Almost like she knew I was helping her.
