Great looking snake. I would be glad to provide you with an address to ship him to.
Jeff Robbe
Thanks Jeff, I was going to sell that one, but decided to keep it at the last minute along with this male, which was really my number one pick, for a hold back. Pictures aren't that great, it looks alot better in person. But I feel this one will turn off white as he gets older, and the other I hope turns more yellow, which he has, in the last few months. I'll just have to wait and see.
Thanks Again, Bob

You have to stop. I am powerless against thayeri.
I only have 8, I'm always on the lookout for more.
Great snakes,
Jeff
Bob -- very nice, clear yellow on that hatchling. My favorite base color for thayeri is yellow. I hope he stays "clean" for you as he matures. Thanks for sharing the photo..
Thanks, I hope he turns a dark yellow base color also, It will look great with his sun-fire markings.

Hi Michelle
I purchased some of my Thayeri from Chris Baubel, and some from the Berkley Herpetarium. The 2004 female was C.Baubels line, and I'm not sure who the sire was, since I bred her with every male I had because of infertial cluches prev. years before, with my other females and males. Here are a few pictures of her. The bottom picture is her as a Neonate.

Thanks for the compliment, Bob

Bob,
Very nice man! I'd have kept that one as well...The nuchal pattern and "general" band phenotype looks like one of those specimens that Joe posted months ago...The one with the "blue background"...It was of the Garstka specimen trio deposited at the Dallas Zoo if I remember correctly...
In any case, that's a very nice animal Bob...Thanks for posting it.
To second Michelle's motion...Whose genetics are the parents from if you can post it...
Later,
Jim.

Bob,
Sincere thanks...I know of Chris B. at Artistic Impressions (have not acquired any directly from him)...He produces some very interesting aberrantly patterned thayeri.
If I remember correctly, doesn't Robert S. (Berkley Herpetarium) focus his collection interest into Eastern Indigo's (if this is the same breeder that I'm thinking of)?
I know that Jonel L. (thanks Jonel) used a Chris B. "Greenish" male to produce a clutch of "greenish" progeny this year as I acquired some of them from him...
Here is the 2007 female as a juvenile (second photo) shortly after I received her and as a yearling (first photo) as she appeared just before brumination...
Both of my Jonel L. specimens have undergone quite interesting ontogenetic changes over the past 16 months. Photos of the male follow in a minute...His ontogenetic change has been much more pronounced...
Later,
Jim.

WOW! That is a big change, some of mine have changed some, but not as much as yours. I did have a few baby thayeri simailar to yours (when she was a 2007 juvenile). I'll post a few pict.
As for Robert S. I don't know him, nor do I know if he as anything to do with the shop where I purchased my Thayeri.
Here are a few 2008 from my Baubel female, (bottom pict).

Bob,
That's cool regarding RS at Berkley Herpetarium...
The photos of your CB specimens in both of your posts are very nice (thanks for posting them)! Especially your 2008 female in the bottom photo. It will be interesting to know if your 2008 specimens undergo an ontogenetic change with maturity...
The photos of your 2007(?) aberrant female in your second post is very interesting as well...Seeing the dorsal "vanishing" of the ground color from the tail up is a possible genetic trait from Chris' genetics side of the equation...I wonder if this is a female trait along with the heavy speckling that is usually evident with maturity (not 100% but appears to be likely to some degree or another from my observations so far - the jury is still about this though).
Here is the other specimen that I mentioned in my previous post that underwent a dramatic ontogenetic change. She is a 2006 progeny from Vivid and as part of her "transformation", she has a similar dorsal "vanishing" of the ground color from the tail up. I wonder if the other side of the genetic equation for this "trait" is from Vivid...As a juvenile, she was a clean "peach" specimen but not anymore (she is more "greenish" in life than she appears in her photos). I wonder how she'll finally turn out by year 5-6...
I call her "Species" because she has an attitude (she'll calm down after handling for a few minutes)...Especially at feeding time! Ha! Ha!
Later,
Jim.

Hi Rick,
Glad you like them, and they are doing great. You will have to update us and post pictures in a few months. #16 was a real looker, I had about six people contact me and show interest in her.
Thanks for posting,

Bob,
Here are the photos of the male (and sibling to the female I just posted)...His "greenish" ground coloration is completely gone at 16 months and I do not know if it will return as he matures...
I took the first photo (juvenile) shortly after I received him from Jonel and the second photo (yearling) is how he appeared just before brumination (in December) at approximately 16 months of age...In both specimens, the "greenish" overtones were quite pronounced but my camera does not accurately capture it...
I have only one other specimen (Vivid female) that I have observed such a dramatic change...
Later,
Jim.

Here is my male abberant Thayeri from C. Baubel, he seems to lighten up a bit in the summer months,

And My female I also got from Chris. First pict. she was about 6-12 months old.
