A Ton of Pics and a Video Tour!

asnakelovinbabe Jan 11, 2009 03:49 PM

Well, My garter snake collection is really blossoming. Sadly, I must report the unexpected deaths of my female Similis and my treasured Iowa Snow Plains a month or two ago. I have brought my adults out of brumation after the basement began to flood. They got 2 months. I have observed courtships already but no copulation amongst the garters YET. For today, I have a ton of pictures to share and also a video tour of my snakeroom at the bottom. If you have seen any of the pictures before... sorry! I am just going to go crazy with them.

Shannon,

They all look good, the flame is coloring up real nicely and the red plains is sharp. Will you be breeding the red plains this year? If so, to what?

Scott

Scott,

I think she is jsut a tiny bit too small to breed this year, and her previous owner must have not fed her very well... because she's a bit thin. I'll hold off until next year (she has not even passed quarantine period yet) and by that time I hope to have a red albino from you to breed her to and produce some nice reds het albino!!! She has some red pots on her belly just like the one you've got, but shes not nearly as light red... she's very dark overall, but I am hoping with the right mate I can bring out the reds even better!
