My male Albino has been courting the female for a couple months. During this time, I observed many tail wraps (not copulation) and lots of spur grinding. On 12/23/08 I saw what I think was a copulation. His tail was waving gently back and forth and his body would make a jolt/spasm every minute or two.
I was not able to see the pre-ovulation swell and I have yet to see a swelling from the ovulation. I do not frequently observe the snakes, so I feel that I may have missed those.
Well, the male now has 3 rub spots on his head. This must be from him trying to get away from the female, which I believe is a sign that breeding is now done.
Does it seem likely that the male has finished breeding this female?
Thank you!!
