OT: Busch Gardens Tampa was this weekend

Jonathan Brady Jan 12, 2009 06:33 PM

I went to Sea World last weekend and posted some pics, so I thought I'd share my Busch Gardens experience from this past weekend with you guys.

Last week I thought I went overboard with the pics. This week puts last week to shame.

It's sad really... lol

Like last week, a LOT of these were shot through glass, and often times double pane glass with lots of scratches so they're not as nice as real life. But for the most part, I'm pretty happy with them.

Hope you like 'em!

First animal I saw when I walked in the park!

Look at THESE wild animals! lol

Time for a new thread

I took this while bouncing around in a big tour truck so it kind of stinks. But I LOVE this kind of zebra. From what the tour guide said, it's the only species of zebra in which the stripes go all the way around.

They have a lot of neat topiaries

This pic makes me think of a saber tooth!

Time for another thread...

This is "Jungala". It's mostly a kids play area but they have some animals too. The detail on these costumes was just UNREAL!

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE birds? Not sure it's necessary to say so at this point...

Time for another thread...

Time for another thread... there will be a few more too. Sorry..

This pics was a little fuzzy because of the glass I was shooting through, but I couldn't help myself. I had to keep it!
Lemur eating a grape!

He decided it was a bit too much and he pulled it back out and started over in smaller pieces.

I can NOT believe I managed to get this pic so clearly

Are there any "Who's" in there?

I thought this pic was by SO friggin cool! I had to use the flash because the area was heavily shaded, hence the reflections in their eyes. I don't think human eyes would have had that, from the distance I was shooting, but we all know cats have better night vision and that's why you get eyes like THIS

Same female. Lookin WICKED again

It's time again! Another thread OTW

We had our own personal viewing of Meerkat Manor!

And they had their viewing of people palooza!

Still looking for "Who's"

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So that's it.
Again, I hope you all enjoyed it. I enjoy sharing some of the animal related stuff my gf and I do. I feel like things like this contribute to the community feel of the forum.

Thanks for looking!

awesome pics. you captured the animal side of the park wonderfully. it's quite sad though, my wife and I live an hour away and have only been to the park once in 4 1/2 yrs, and i'm a coaster/animal junky. Go figure. I hope ya'll had a great time, it looks like that's a no brainer though.

Cool pic's, and a great theme park as well. You have been jarring my memory a lot JB, I grew up in Tampa and our my parents would have garage sales to buy season passes for my brother and I every year as youngsters.

As a teenager I got to volunteer working with the limited reptile collection and feeding/cleaning in the animal nursery.

That is my second favorite park after Sea world...thanks for sharing JB.
