i have one male that is VERY similar to your snake. he's also CH from the mother land. he's an 07', but was very small when i picked him up. i think the breeder was just feeding him enough. he's about +/- 700gm now and hopefully get him to breed next year.

when i got him he was about 200-300 grams, his colors look the same now as when i first picked him up. his black is as black as a black marker. i think i have a hatchling pic somewhere at home if you want to see it.

let me know what you think

Really nice snake . I wish mine would grow like that as he is a non feeder and has to be assist fed . I have tried all the tricks , he just doesn’t have the instinct to feed , I have had a few over the years like that and all males . It is a natural culling processes to limit the numbers of males in the wild . But they will start eating on there own after a wile , I had one Rescue hatchling that it took 2 years to get him feeding on his own . Thanks David

funny you say that because my male has not eaten in a few months.....since the end of summer i believe. when i first got him he was eating great.....so i'm thinking it's just the winter fast. we'll see what happens when the weather warms up.

did you ever get your males to breed? i'm wondering if they are genetic or some fluke due to incubation temperature?

i really like how the black i do dark.

Well No he is not up to weight yet ,and I’m starting to think he will never get there .lol. How is yours doing on weight ? Will he breed this year or next ? With all my heath issues I will not be breeding that many snakes this year . But I hope to have a big year next session . It is ust good to talk to you and some of the others again after so long . I have this 08 ch female that I picked up. Afraid that my camera skills don't accurately show off her colors, but you get the picture. Will try for better ones after she sheds. Belly is diff than yours. Hers is clear with thin lines down each side. Eats like a pig, already gone from 100g when I got her in Dec to 200g plus now. Have always prefered light balls, but am really starting to appreciate the dark morphs now.

David don't call me Dave, I really like em man! Very sweet pick ups. I love stripes, even if they are not "Genetic Stripes." They have very clean and interesting sides too man! Unique look, what are your breeding plans? If you answered that in the original post, I will go back and look. Dinking projects rule, especially when they look like winners from the get go!

Good luck man,

Dave
