ID Needed. Gopher Snake....

i picked this girl up from an ad in a news paper. i was told that she was W/C in San Bernardino county... i cant figure out what kind of gopher she is..... the colors are very accurate - tons for red from head to tail.

an ID would be much appreciated...

I'am not all that familiar with California but I would say from looks and locality it a Great Basin Gopher .

Its either a pure san diego or a great basin and san diego combination. I have a pure san diego from riverside county temecula locale. They are great snakes and are worh keeping. My is so docile hes convinced that he is a cornsnake.

It's a deserticola with maybe a wee bit of annectens mixed in for good measure. Great looking critter.
