eye dents?

defiall Jan 12, 2009 10:20 PM

The first ball python I bought was in a bad shed when I got her and had a retained eye cap so I soaked her a few times until all the shed was gone but the eye cap didn't come off, I tried all the recommendations for getting it off but it was stuck and I didn't want to hurt her but it came off on the first shed after I got her. After that I noticed she had a dent on that eye, I figured it would come off after a shed or two but its still there after five or six sheds. The humidity is good and I keep her water filled and fresh so I know she isn't dehydrated and it doesn't seem to affect her vision but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows anything about whats going on or if there is any reason to be concerned about it creating a future problem.

Take it to a Vet. Or a long term keeper that has the experience to handle it for you . David

One of my girls is like that, she was pretty much a rescue, old owner didn't know what the heck she was doing. Anyways, she's never had a problem from it, still gobbles down the rats and she just quit breeding for me this week so I think she's about to blow up big for me. lol
