A friend of mine has several leopard geckos and recently she noticed one male and several females have little balloon like fluid filled sacks under each arm. The affected animals have not been in contact with each other but three in her collection have the same thing. I have never seen this with any of mine. Does anyone know what this could be?

Bulging armpits?

Sometimes in large/fat healthy leopard geckos, you see bulges in their armpits like what you describe. If the gecko has a nice fat tail, this is probably what it is. Some people say this is a sign of a healthy gecko. Got any pics?

It looks like water filled sacks. The geckos have big fat tails but so do most of mine and they don't have this. Mine have fat armpits but these look kind of like the bulging eyes on those bubble eyed goldfish.

Yes, those are fat bubbles!! Nothing to worry about she just has healthy geckos. I freaked out the first time i noticed my leos had them. LOL!! Katie

My female's starting to get a little flabby around the pits right now.... she's only like 4 months old, and she's SO big... It's great. I've seen other females with the bulges, but never a male. Do any of your males have bulges... in their armpits?
