quick question about shedding

aligoonbaba Sep 09, 2003 07:21 PM

My mali is shedding pretty heavily. It seems he's a little grumpy. He doesn't like to be held. Is shedding a painfull thing for them? or do they just not like to be held while shedding? He's eating fine, although I think I've spoiled him on the hibiscus. He'll eat lentils and a little bit of collard greens, but he can't get enough hibiscus. Thansk for any help. =)

you might want to change off the collard greens to another kind of green, those can sometimes be hard to digest.

but as to the shedding question...
i'm not sure about the painful aspect but many uros are not fond of being held during shed time. if you want to help him out, you might give him a nice warm watter soak (dry him thoroughly) that can help with the shedding.
