I have a black adult male that is a shy eater. Usually won't eat unless he is extremely hungry. His babies however, will eat anything and I mean anything that moves in the tub but at the same time are not feisty to pick up. This might have been inherited from their mom, a normal, with a voracious appetite. I don't believe it is genetic but it is a possibility.
My gf has an '08 cinny female that is just packing it away. Definitely one of the better eaters here.
We have a BHB Cinnamon and a VPI Satin Black Pastel, and both have been FANTASTIC feeders from day one. This last season we produced 1 clutch of Cinnamons, and again, the hatchlings ate anything, anywhere, anytime....It was a big relief as I am used to trying to get aboreal hatchlings to feed which can be tricky sometimes, but the Cinnamon hatchlings where awsome feeders. We hope to produce some VPI Satin Black Pastels next season, but if the hatchlings are anything like the mother...there will be NO problem.
