I use a spray bottle that is about 10% bleach and the rest water. You can get spray bottles at a dollar store usually and generic bleach isn't all that expensive.

hot water and dish soap

.....if you want to put the snake or rats or whatever right back into the tubs you don't want them stinking of bleach or like windex...etc etc...

IF you want to totally disinfect.......soap and water to clean THEN bleach to kill all.......then sunlight will also kill germs and dry it out and get rid of smell and fumes...etc etc...why we should all have extra tubs...

....all kinds of stuff works....depends on time you have and if you have extra tubs....and how much smell you want out...

...mayb I should wash mine someday....???....hmmm......
