who are related. they came in two groups of four. Usually I only take in 3 failure to thrive dragons at a time and that keeps me pretty busy with my other permanent dragons. It just worked out that this time after the first 4 smaller healthy appearing ones arrived, we had four others that had not been under any UVB, were loaded with parasites and very thin that needed care right away.
The first group were in good condition, just small and we did get all those growing some, we think their smallness is genetic line and they will never be real big. One of those did takeoff like crazy. The second group was poor husbandry, not enough light intensity and UVB. Once those were added to them, and the parasites and worms treated, they took off eating and growing like crazy! Those four were all 1-2 years old and all gained over 100 grams in 6 weeks and continue to grow.
We think they will make it to normal size.
