I use all Zoo Med 10.0 straight tubes. I am going to use mercury vapor for a very large (8' x 9' x 7'H) Iguana enclosure I am building.

I used to use repti-sun 10.0 fluorescent tubes (and still do for my anoles) but for my beardies and my uro i have been using the Mega-ray MVB (www.reptileuv.com) for the past few years and have loved them.

Check this site out: www.uvguide.co.uk

Its a site dedicated to UVB and reptiles, studies carried out involving different bulvbs and more - it has TONS of really great info.

I use Repti-glo 8.0 by Exo-Terre...its not always easy to find the Zoo-Med 10's here. But this brand is very excellent UVB bulb, not quite as strong as the 10's but still good for bearded dragons and other UVB needing reptiles.

I have never used one, but I have read on the beardeddragon.org forum about many beardie owners who use ReptiGlos and have found them harmful to beardies eyes.

There are so many brand of UV lights (fluorescents and MVBs) that can harm beardies or do not give proper radiation. The only brands I am sure (or almost positive) are safe are the ReptiSun and MegaRay (type of MVB). I use a 24" ReptiSun 10.0 for my adult beardie, but when it needs replacing, I am considering getting a MegaRay.
