after the post ovulation shed will gravid females slim down alittle after ovulation then start to thicken up again?

man is the only way to get responses here by the bigger boa breeders to have pics of some morph snakes? seems all the questions on here seldom get answered but u post a pic of a boa after shedding or something and 30 people respond to it

Yes,
It is possible for your female to slim down so much that she actually looks, "skinny". Most times they'll just go back to where they were before breeding season started. If your girl didn't eat during the breeding process, she might look "skinny". Then she'll gradually get thicker and thicker.

It takes about....... 4 to 6 weeks after the POS to see thickening. by the time your boa is 8 weeks POS you should be seeing good scale seperation. At 12 weeks POS, she'll look like she's going to EXPLODE! During the last 3 weeks of gestation, you might notice that your female is getting skinny. The front half of your female might become very thin. She might start to look rough. She'll still have scale seperation on her back half, but that will "seem" to go down as well. The mass that's inside her will start to move down a bit. She'll look..... off balanced. Her front half will be quite thin, compared to her back half. She might have more difficulty moving around the cage.

Of course, the amount of thickening your boa does will depend on the size of litter she's carrying.

Some females will ovulate and stay thick looking. Others will look like the description above.

Just treat her like she's pregnant. Give her smaller meals, if you offer food. Keep her cage clean and give her fresh water often.
Figure out her due date and stop feeding her 6 weeks before her due date.

It will seem like a very long wait, but it will be worth it.

If you want to know "sooner" if she's carrying live babies or not.....

Just get a fetal doppler. You can hear heartbeats of the unborn babies at...... 8 weeks after ovulation. If you go the doppler method.. Make sure you get a good one.

thanx alot man....ill be lookin for the thickening again...her due date seeing she shed yesterday should be april 29th or so...ill keep posted
