Got a question. Herpstat vs Herpstat ND?

coolluigi007 Jan 14, 2009 03:16 PM

Got a question guys and gals, Which one do you use, and why do you like the one that you do? It is the first stat i'm going to buy and I'm going to use it for my incubator and for my snake rack? I know I'd have to buy the night drop cord with the herpstat and the ND model comes with it but it seems to have some extra things also. So I'm looking for some advice.
Thanks in advance

If temps fall outside a set range, the alarm goes off. This saved a rack of snakes for me when a temp probe came loose.

How did the Herpstat know the temp was high if the probe came loose?

The Herpstat has a missing probe alarm.

You don't need a night drop cord for the Herpstat or did you mean the Helix?

We use the Herpstat 2 and the Herpstat Pro. Herpstats have a lot of bells and whistles: high and low temp alarms, sensor matching, power matching, longer probe cord, etc.

One other thing not stated by the others is that you don’t need or use a night drop for use withy a incubator . David
