Scaleless Texas

dirty_jarvis Jan 14, 2009 04:34 PM

I have seen these pop up more and more recently.
Before, you couldnt get anywhere near one unless it was in a zoo or university.

Who is dealing with them?

I'd take the lavender over a scaleless any day. If you're into them though, check with Brian at BHB. He might be able to hook you up.

Are you producing any of those Lavenders this season?? I have a pair of two year olds that I'm working overtime on to get up to size for this season..

Very nice animal.

has your male gained any green in his blotches?
I have noticed that in a couple of the males,
bu I havnt seen it in the females.

as a matter a fact yes, shades of green and the orange color on him GLOWS but is impossible to capture with my crappy camera.

He was quite a little pisser when I first got him, but has become used to me and has calmed down tremendously, but give him the slightest push and he will let you have it, all my other texas rats are all tame (lucy's) and so are all the babies I hatched out in 07. The lavender can be handled and will not bite but he will defend himself if even slightly provoked, I LOVE that about him.

The deal is this -
These snakes do just as well as the ones with scales.
They DO NOT have shedding problems.
They have no problems eating - I feed my adults LIVE rats.
There are only a handful of people working with this morph.
