Finally, a camera that gets real colors

xblackheart Jan 15, 2009 03:39 PM

Here are a few pics of my snakes with the new camera

Ghost stripe

Amel motley

okeetee phase (think she is going into blue as she is a little dull in color)

Hypo Motley

Hypo Motley with real gray background. Not sure if she fits the description of miami motley, but close if not

An amel with insane green saddles. She is so hard to get her real colors, but this camera did a good job

And last but not least a normal with crazy belly checkers

The amel should say "green boarders to her saddles" not "green saddles". She is very unique, as I have yet to see anything like her. Although I am sure there are snakes like her out there. The boarders to her saddles have this wierd lime green/lemon yellow hue (depending on lighting) to where it should be white.

I would love to see pics of snakes similar to her in coloring.

Thanks for looking

Very nice pic Misty, and yes very realistic. Most cameras have setting to hype up contrast, hue, "vivid" et al.

It's basically a mini photo shop program. I have not played with mine much, I'm waiting to get a longer lens. I toss my old parrot seed on my porch and i have so many birds, including some cool wood peckers. I will hype up the color a bit to get that red to stand out of their heads.

But for a reference of a morph it is nice to have a photo that matches the snake. I wanted to setup a site for that purpose, everyone post their morph under teh appropriate morph. But I'm lazy lol.

I'll also be the first to admit my blood red is not as red as some of teh picture. Just don;t tell him I told ya.

peace

Tom - I am just starting to learn some of the tons of settings on my camera, so i am sure there will be tons more pics with the different possibilities!

Jeff- Thanks! The okeetee is no where near the beauty of yours. She is more of a "buckskin" type, but I think she is neat.
That miami looking motley is very pretty. I just took pictures of her sister,a nd she is not as nice. Gray background but she has aberrant pattern, which covers most of it. I will post more pics soon.

Thanks again for looking!!
