pet store find ...

richie_rich Jan 15, 2009 09:41 PM

Havent really posted much in this forum just thought Id show what I found at a local pet store ... I very rarely buy any animals from pet stores, the clerk at the counter had this little girl in a 15 qt container ... I asked about it and he said she was very mean and was snapping at everything that came close to it ... the clerk says to me "give me $30 bucks and you can have it" ... How could I leave this poor little boa with people that dont know what they are doing ... i took this little girl home and put her in a nice big tub, some good clean water and proper heat ... A week later shes eating fine Ive handled her plenty of times and has never showed any signs of aggresion ... I wish they had a pet store that was geared towards reptiles in my area ... anyone go through this in their area ...

Rick

i got this girl at a pet shop too not as nice as what you have
but she was a great little find they had about 7 of them in about a 15 gal tank

very nice I like the tail patterns ... the only bad thing about getting stuff from the pet store is that you dont know anything about where the snake came from ... which i knew at least who the breeder was ...

yeah she has peaks in her saddles so we were thinking
she might have some suri in her we went back and asked
the pet store if they could tell us who they buy thier
snakes from or give us any contact info but that never
happened... when i first went in they tried to say she
was 08 at 3 ft long then i talk to another person who
said she was an 07 its amazing how people can sell things
and have no idea what they are talking about but yet they
can point out all the things (which more then half you dont
need not for a snake anyways)that you should have for them the
sad thing is you get ppl that actually think a heat rock is
good because the person told them at the pet store
It just puzzles me

Real nice score on that one. I am in agreeance with Rich, she appears to be a pastel to me too. Nice washed out sides.
