Cornsnake Breeder Feedback

DaTa Jan 16, 2009 09:04 PM

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I thought it would be nice to hear about the good feedback.

My name is David and I bought a trio of Stillwater Bulls 2 months ago from Ryan Beatty. We made the deal and as he was bagging up the animals Ryan called me to explain an issue that he saw. Ryan explained to me the situation, small scab on one of the snakes, and let me know we could forget the deal or if the injured snake didn't make it he would refund an amount that we agreed upon.

Well I took all three and the scab was exactly how Ryan explained it. After 2 months the scab reopened and became moist and looked like it had taken a turn for the worse. I emailed Ryan right away to make sure he was updated and I wasn't sure if I was going to get a response.

Well sure enough 2 hours later Ryan emailed me back, said he remembered the situation and was more than happy to stick with the agreement if the snake passes. That has not hapened yet but I wanted to publicly thank Ryan for sticking to a situation that was 2 months prior.

I have no plan on losing the snake but if I do then I know Ryan is behind me.

Thanks
David

It's always good to hear that a breeder is standing behind terms of sale, his word, etc. So many backout with BS excuses.

I do have a question for you. 2 months and now the scab is back, moist, etc. as you describe. What have you done to take care of that snake in those 2 months? What are you doing to take care of the snake?
You should take pics, post them, and ask for help. It's not always necessary to go to a vet. However, if it has not healed on its own in 2 months you need to do something.

I agree on both points:

1) It's nice to see some good customer service these days.

2) The scab should have been healed by now. I would look into what the actual injury is and at the very least be treating of with an over-the-counter ointment for cuts and scapes.

Good idea to PROACTIVELY put sellers on the spot like this. I wish we could always count on sellers to back their products. Good luck with Ryan.

...who is the EPITOME of good business practices and standing behind his word!!!!

I agree 100% that there is no room for sellers that do not stand behind their word or their animals, but there is not enough room in virtual space to sing the praises of those who do!
