Best herp tracking software

Shadow4108 Jan 16, 2009 09:10 PM

I'm looking for a free herp tracking software. I've already found Metzcal and tried to download it, but when I ran it, It gave a message that my version was out of date. And I'm unable to find a different version or an update for it. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

I was using the same software for about two years with all my info recorded. Needless to say 09 came and it became out dated and I lost all my files with new updates available.

Degei is an excellent husbandry database. I use it to track all of my feeding and breeding information. The nice feature is that you can record the feeding information for an entire rack at a time so it is very quick. If you grow your collection to the point that it becomes too time consuming to track everything then you upgrade to the professional version and start using bar codes and scanners. It is very scaleable and upgraded frequently for improvement.

There is a nominal fee to use and then small fees for each upgrade. The problem with all of the free software is that you get what you pay for. Good luck!

No more nominal fees - Damon has made the full version of Degei free!

I downloaded it yesterday, and he's got tracking info options in there that I'd _never_ have thought of. Very cool stuff.

I found this free website this week.... You can track feeding, breeding, pretty much everything... You have to create a login simple. The only problem I see what if the website is gone. They do have a print option. What do you guys and gals think???

I use herp care software. Works great for my small collection not sure how it would be for large ones.
