white scales

tex959 Jan 17, 2009 05:59 PM

This is a 3 month old male het. albino(CV Exotics line). He has shed a few times since birth but there are still about 4 patches of white scales that still remain. He was the only snake like this in a clutch of 4 eggs. Anyone else have scales like this? Is it just a normal thing?

Well you will get several different opinions on this but I have always been told that that is a het albino marker . David

I have an adult male with light patches similar to some of the ones on your snake. I can only hope that they are a marker for something.

Seems like with the fact that he is supposed to be het albino, and the whites and the yellows are showing through in the right spots, he just has a little bit of paradox going on. I have a het albino/pied that has similar patches.
